There’s something about Arica, Chile that keeps people yearning to come back. The city itself isn’t all to pleasing, and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t at least a little bit rough around the edges. It has a number of beaches, but none of them will blow you away with their tranquility, crystal clear waters or white sand beaches. However, there is something that always draws people back to this little town just south of the Peruvian border.
Beyond being the surf mecca of Chile, and believe me the waves are great, what really draws people back here are the friendly nature of the people who are always more than willing to lend a hand if you need it or point you in the right direction if your lost. Perhaps it’s a small town thing here in Arica, something that’s generally hard to come by in urban Chile.
